Ahadu Bank-(AHB) S.C, is working to acquire its License from the National Bank of Ethiopia. AHB will soon embark, in full force, upon the process of Launch and Operationalization. The early phase of its launch and operationalization requires an unhindered goods and services supply that will allow AHB to successfully execute its intended projects.
AHB, through this bidding process, wishes to establish a fail-safe supply relationship that assures the continuous availability of goods and services, during its launch and operationalization. Besides continuity, AHB also wishes to achieve through the bid process a supply relationship that is reliable, efficient and cost-effective enough to allow it accomplish its Launch and Operationalization, with little risk to its intended projects.
The supply relationship that AHB is floating for bid herein presumes the progressive and discrete supply of goods and services from prospective bidders. This intention, when it comes to technology equipment purchases, is to allow AHB to use newly produced goods, whilst protecting itself from technology obsolescence risk. In terms of other goods and services, the emphasis is on establishing continuous supply chain structure that allows AHB to have an unhindered access to named goods and services that are essential for its business. The relationship coming out of the bid process must allow AHB the Progressive and Discrete Supply of named Goods and Services, on Rate Contract Basis.
The relationship that AHB wishes to enter under this bid, with goods and services suppliers, will be for an initial 2 years period with a possibility of 1-year extension. The goods and services that AHB requires during this period are grouped into “Lots” that are customarily known to be handled, under one-roof, by existing suppliers in the country. Ideally, AHB would like to acquire as many “Lots” as possible from a single source. The Bank realizes that this may not be possible for the entirety of the full “Lots”, because of specialization. Therefore, suppliers that provide only a single or limited “Lots”, due to various reasons, are also encouraged and permitted to respond.
When it comes to technology acquisitions, original equipment manufacturers, systems integrators, service and solution providers may provide the goods and services listed in the RFP in Partnership or a Joint Venture. Under such circumstances, the prime contractor of the JV or partnership must clearly be indicated.
Where goods and services are available and can be sourced locally in the requisite quality and speed, AHB favors local production and supply of goods and services.
AHB now invites separate sealed bids for both technical and financial proposal from eligible bidders for the recruitment of suppliers and service providers for the following goods and services, on Rate Contract Basis for the duration indicated in the RFP.
